The best definition of Outreach Work is
“making art & crafts accessible to all by our artists working in your community”
Our job entails working in places as diverse as retirement homes, schools or a hospital ward.
We are there to relieve stress from not only potential members but also their carers.
All our staff have a clear Barring check (Enhanced) and are committed to confidentiality.
The role of an Outreach Worker involves overseeing workshops and events, staff members and volunteers and focuses on contact with community members to whom we want to give a more fulfilling lifestyle within the community. We offer comfort, dignity and opportunities with choice to all involved.
Overall it is aimed at helping people within a local community to identify social needs, to consider the most effective ways of meeting these and to set about doing so, in so far as their available resources permit.
The position includes the planning and development of a bespoke programme, as well as the implementation and evaluation. This position may also serve as a liaison between other organisations within the community that share similar goals.
