You would be serving the society through your own interest, personal skills, teaching or learning from others, which in return produces a feeling of self worth and respect, instead of financial gain. Volunteering is also famous for skill development, to socialise and to have fun.
It is also intended to help you make contacts for possible employment or for a variety of other reasons.
Volunteering takes many forms, and can be performed by anyone with their own set of skills. Many of our volunteers are specifically trained in the areas they work in. We welcome new volunteers and are always looking for artists, mentors and trustees/directors.
If you feel you have the necessary skills do not hesitate to contact us to request an application form – or you can download one by clicking on the image above.
For more information on the roles and responsibilities that come with each of our volunteer positions, see our general Job and Personal Specifications information page here and Artist Specific Job Specification here
As a volunteer you may get the chance to develop new skills and put into practice those that you already possess. Although you wont receive payment, your training costs are covered.
If you would like to join our fantastic team of volunteers, you can either pick up an application form from the studio or print a copy of our Volunteer Application Form here.
If your initial application is successful we will contact you to offer you an interview.
We will pay for your enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) , which is an essential requirement.
Without a clear check you will not be permitted to volunteer.
