The Artrium offers a warm, friendly, atmosphere in which to express yourself without fear of judgement. It is a place to mix and meet new people and, if you wish, become involved in group projects and activities. It is also a facility to exhibit your work. No one enters our doors as a stranger, just friends that haven’t yet met.

Anyone over the age of 18 may join us. You can attend as many times during the week as you wish although at very busy times we may have to change your days to suit both parties.

Learn from others as others learn from you. We offer a wide range of activities for you to choose from, some you may have heard of, some maybe new to you. In time and with support you may try your hand and learn new skills.

We also have an IT suite. Research and learn, experience art from around the world, produce art forms via the computer. Printing photocopying, scanning and laminating (a small charge for materials) is also available for members as are opportunities for gallery visits and days out (a small charge). Tea, coffee and other refreshments are also available at a very small cost.

MEMBERSHIP FEES

It costs just is £10 per year to join but you we will need proof if you are in receipt of any benefits or are retired. A daily fee of £1.50 is also payable

£30 per year for all others with a daily cost of £4.50 These costs include all the services of artists volunteers and the majority of art materials*. If you are referred to us (ie, from Integrated Services) the service is free of charge. To download a referral or membership form see Contact Us page.

You do not have to experience mental health issues to become part of the Artrium, anyone can join. However, you may join free of charge if you are referred by Integrated Mental Health Services or your Doctor, please see all the relevant forms on this site.

WHO’S WHO

The Artrium is run by a board of directors who themselves are members along with a team of dedicated staff including our Project Manager, Support Worker, artists and committed volunteers so whatever avenue you decide to go down there is always someone on hand to help.

*we will not be able to supply you with materials if you are going to sell privately.
