I have always enjoyed arts and crafts and attending the Artrium has enabled me to create and to learn new techniques from others, I in turn have passed on my skills to others.
Creating cards for all occasions enables me to bring smiles and individuality to peoples lives which makes me feel proud and happy that I have made a person smile. Don’t forget, don’t throw away your old cards – bring them to us where we can make another person smile.

The staff and volunteers are very helpful and I have been able to do all sorts of things. I do struggle sometimes but the staff encourage you and are there to help – you could not ask for better staff. They are very understanding and easy to talk to”.

My artwork has been donated to a special needs sci-fi fan at Thornaby, sci-fi is an inspiration to my art work. The PC’s at the Artrium help me research my work. The Artrium has also given me the opportunity to work as a support worker for the Hartlepool Borough Council”
